Many people are unfamiliar with the format your keyword articles should take. Make sure you follow this format if you are writing for clients because it is something they have come to expect.
Title-Put an Interesting Title Here
This part is your introduction. You should “tell them what you’re going to tell them” here. Do not give away too many details, but make sure to peak their interest. This should be between 3-5 sentences long.
Then, you can get started with the body of your article. You MUST use some sort of transitional phrase. I used “then.” Many people forget to transition between their paragraphs and sentences. That can make it look choppy. Also, make sure you talk about your first key point here. Pay attention to the density of your keyword (most clients like a 2-5% density).
When you’re finished with your first key point (notice the transition I used), you can start in on your second. Do NOT go off topic or you will lose your reader. Make sure you’re keeping your paragraphs short and snappy
After you’re finished with that point, you can move on to the next. This might be the last paragraph in the body but it depends on the length of the article you’re writing. Remember, maintain focus! Don’t jump here there and everywhere.
Finally, you can add your conclusion. “Tell them what you told them.” This should sum up your points with less detail than you used in the body. Sometimes, this includes some kind of “call to action.”
Try this out for your bum marketing or writing for Associated Content. As you get better you can start to offer your services to clients!
