It wasn’t too long ago that I wrote a post outlining how tired I was of writing articles that were stuffed with keywords. Well, it seems the tables are turning in my favor, and I owe a lot of it to Ezine Articles.
Ezine Articles recently put the smackdown on keyword stuffing. Some think that they’ve gone a bit too far and are even getting naturally written articles rejected. Regardless, this has made a lot of waves on the Internet. Warrior Forum is ablaze with debates on EA’s move and people are starting to realize that those types of articles are so last year.
I have seen a huge impact on this with respect to my clients. Many of them are saying, “Hey Jenn, I’ve tried submitting articles to EA and they are rejected. Just go ahead and use the keyword naturally.” And I want to say Hallelujah!!!!
This means that I can finally write without the bonds of keyword stuffed articles. The writing is good and something that people actually want to read. I do get the occasional keyword density request, but that too is being lowered. In the short time that I’ve been a ghostwriter the trend has definitely swung the way of writing for real people.
It was only November when I used to be asked to write at a density of 5% or more in some cases. I haven’t gotten a request like that in quite a while.
So, when you’re writing your articles keep that in mind. I have a feeling that writing for real people IS the wave of the future. You may as well write that way now.

A while back I was asked to take 20 articles and rewrite them.
No problem?
Well, they wanted FOUR different versions of each one. What I wrote was very good but it cost me two weeks of my time and ever since them I have had no desire to be a ghost writer.
I mean, how many different ways can you rewrite
“Tell the dog to sit.”
I got round it in the end.
In one article the dog was male (”tell him”), another was female (”tell her”) then we have “Give the command ’sit’ ” and “Say ’sit’ in a firm voice”. Can you imagine doing that with every sentence of 20 articles?
I would rather have root canal work than do that again!!

Yep…I’ve been noticing too! I’ve been telling my clients to just write naturally– the keywords will get sprinkled throughout as part of the natural process …
By the way, congrats on the new baby! I just had one back in November. It is truly a joy to be home with my kids!
