How many of you have an overwhelming inbox? I do!
There are definitely days where I dread even opening the darn thing because it’s going to be so overflowing. I am well aware this has caused me lost business with my ghostwriting in the past. I’m very good about getting back to current clients but there have been a few cases where I’ve gotten a query, meant to reply to it, and then found it later when it was too late.
I was thinking of getting myself a helpdesk system from preventing this sort of thing. It would also help if I would commit myself to answering e-mails immediately or not opening them until I’m able to answer.
How many of you have those e-mail inboxes that just won’t quit? If you have a solution, I’d love to hear it!
Running an online business is also tough because you do get people who freak out if you don’t answer right away. So while I have been lax sometimes, I also think that people deserve a good 24 hour window to answer an e-mail. More if it’s over a weekend or something like that.
