Making the Leap to Working For Yourself

October 15th, 2008 1 Comment

It’s now been about a year since I started this blog, and I feel like I’ve come a long way! I’ve read through some of my earlier posts where I got started writing with Associated Content and Brijit (which, sadly is no more) and struggling to find a way to earn money. Then..BAM! As soon [...]

Jenna Glatzer’s How to Make a Real Living As a Freelance Writer

August 31st, 2008 No Comments

Even though I’ve started stepping more into the marketing end of things I’m a writer at heart.  It’s actually been a dream of mine since I was a little girl to be a published author.  Nothing would please me more than to see my name in a glossy magazine these days.
While I really enjoy being [...]

Keyword Stuffed Articles? No more!

February 14th, 2008 2 Comments

It wasn’t too long ago that I wrote a post outlining how tired I was of writing articles that were stuffed with keywords. Well, it seems the tables are turning in my favor, and I owe a lot of it to Ezine Articles.
Ezine Articles recently put the smackdown on keyword stuffing. Some think [...]

Can Anyone be a Freelance Writer?

February 12th, 2008 No Comments

I have been so excited to share ghostwriting and Internet Marketing with friends and family and I often catch myself saying, “yeah…anyone can do it!” But, is this really true?
When I say it I am of course thinking about how easily writing comes to me weighed with the demand of web content. There [...]

LOL On Article Prices

January 30th, 2008 No Comments

I’ve recently raised my rates, though they are still fairly low for the quality. As I build my reputation and fine tune my craft they will likely go higher until they are in tune with the time I spend on them.
Anyway, I received two requests for my prices from two potential clients. They [...]

What Do You Do When Someone Hates Your Writing?

January 29th, 2008 2 Comments

I’ve been very blessed with good writing skills and have enjoyed writing all of my life. I rarely build myself up at all and have a hard time believing that I’m good at “much” but I know writing is one of them (and being a mommy I’ve never had a client [...]

Are We Filling the Internet With Crap?

December 26th, 2007 2 Comments

When I first started writing content for the Internet I felt like I was finally fulfilling my dream of being a “real life” writer. I knew that I would get to write about a great variety of topics in a style that would be my own.
Well, I was partially right.
What I’ve found writing keyword [...]

How to Write a Keyword Article

December 18th, 2007 2 Comments

I am starting a new website where I have hired article writers to write web content for customers. This will be a membership website where people can pay a small monthly fee to receive double edited, quality articles. When I started hiring my writers I realized that the art of writing a keyword [...]
