I decided to get into copywriting a little while back, party for this reason!

I know that copywriting is sort of the cornerstone of the Internet.  If you want to make sales, you’d better know at least a little about writing copy.  When I made this choice a few months ago I went to Amazon and bought several books on writing copy, bought a few online ones, a membership to the Copy Doctor and studied my buns off.

I’m having a great time with it!  It’s hard breaking into the world of copy…there are definitely a subset of copywriters who think they are the be all end all and that everyone else is incompetent.  But I’ve also met some incredibly helpful people who’ve gone out of their way to help me succeed.  Rachel Rofe Especially (love her!)

I have a few copy clients now…and it’s kind of funny.  They came to me for copy before I even advertised that I’m doing it.  It was kind of “meant to be.”

So, if you find your writing getting stale, and the wonderful world of writing copy sounds appealing to you, don’t be intimidated.  Get started!  Yes, it’s tough to write a good sales letter.  But with the right dedication and support you can do it in no time.

2. Written the salesletter to sell my niche ebook as PLR

3. Dived in deeper to my Teaching Sells Course

4.  Built more Virtual Real Estate Sites per my JD Swanson challenge

So, I think I’m doing too much.  I do subscribe to Dennis Becker’s $5 bucks a day method…but I apparently don’t follow through with it.  That’s what I need to do before I implode!

Think about this with your own online business.  If you are trying to do too much, and are juggling too many eggs, what can you prioritze to do first?

Here is my list:

1.  Flip my site

2. Dive in deeper with my membership site

3. Work on VRE

4. Sell PLR package

I’m off to bed.  A long day ghostwriting from 8 am to 12 am. 

There are sites that have just PLR content on them that go for around that amount, so that will be my buy it now.  If any of my readers are interested in buying a site with full rights to an ebook, original articles, and a complete money making Turkey site let me know

It’s currently 2:30 am and I need some sleep, lol.

So, I am going to post clear goals instead of monetary earnings.  Of course, I still have monetary goals but that is not going to be the focus of my mission.

I feel like everything has turned around very quickly for me.  In fact, we bought our first house!!!

Since I know how it feels to earn a big goose egg online, I want to give back to all of the moms who want to earn a living online.  I’m going to start giving you the tools you can use to succeed as well.  This is not to say that I’m some know it all…I’m very new at this too.  But if you’re struggling to make your first dollars online, I think I can really help.

Truthfully, I’ve turned down more orders that I can count because there are just so many hours in a day. But this order I accepted because a man offered me a great price to help him with his website. I think once I work on focusing myself I’ll be able to accept more orders, it’s just very hard to have a schedule when you’re raising a baby

Still, I proved to myself that there is money to be made online. My goal for next month is to work hard on my freelance writing in the morning and my VRE challenge in the evening.

Developing a passive income is my dream so that I will be able to take vacations and spend time with my son as he gets older. I just ordered him all of his Christmas gifts and I want to have time to play with him:) Writing is great, but I’m finding I have very little free time.

So, I’m giving myself a pat on the back for reaching this months goal, and focusing next month on writing part time, and developing 20 VRE websites as part of my challenge.

My prices are crazy low during my two week Grand Opening sale, so that may have something to do with it. But I’m already making more than I did as a teacher (that’s scary) and I get to stay home with my little man!

I’m not abandoning my own efforts, but this project of mine has shown me that it is truly possible to earn money from the internet.

I’m getting starry eyed with all of the possibilities that are opening up!

I just hope that the freelance work keeps coming when I raise my prices. I know that my work is quality, so I’m sure people will still be interested. And from what I’ve seen other people charge, I will still be pretty low comparatively.

Freelance Mommy

I’ve figured out by now that I’m not going to meet my goal this month.  I feel that I easily could have, if I had stuck with Associated Content and Brijit and other guaranteed incomes.  However, I find myself drifting more towards the things that take time to build.  I love AC and Brijit for some extra cash to fund my journey for now.  I am of course disappointed, but I’ve only been at this for a very short amount of time.  Hopefully next month will be better, and some of my projects will start to pan out.

My biggest problem is focusing.  I find too many GREAT opportunities and float from one thing to another.  I need to pick one or two, then I feel I can truly make an impact.  I’ll keep you posted!
